Terms and Conditions
Effective version: 2026-05-06
These terms apply when you use TeXCV to upload LaTeX CV material, transform it into a supported template, download generated PDFs, or buy source-code export.
1. Service
TeXCV converts user-provided LaTeX CV projects into generated PDF and LaTeX source outputs. The service may use automated parsing, LaTeX compilation, template migration, and visual review systems to produce those outputs.
You are responsible for checking any generated CV, PDF, source file, and source archive before using or sharing it. We do not guarantee that output is error-free, complete, suitable for a specific employer, or compatible with every LaTeX environment.
2. Your Content
You keep your rights in the CVs, text, images, fonts, templates, and other files you upload. You give us permission to host, process, compile, transform, and store your content only as needed to operate the service, provide previews, generate outputs, process payments, prevent abuse, and support the product.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload and process your content, including any third-party templates, fonts, images, logos, or other assets included in your LaTeX project.
3. Payments And Source Export
Generated PDF download is available within the product limits shown in the app. Source export is a one-time digital purchase for a specific generated CV/template result. The current source-export price is £2 before any taxes, fees, or currency conversion applied by Stripe, your bank, or local law.
Source export is unlocked only after Stripe confirms successful payment through our backend. The success redirect alone does not unlock source export. If source export cannot be delivered for a paid CV/template result, contact us through retexcv.com so we can investigate a repair or refund.
By buying source export, you ask us to provide digital content immediately after payment. Where applicable, this may affect cancellation rights once delivery begins. This does not limit rights that cannot be excluded by law.
4. Acceptable Use
You must not use the service to upload, process, or generate content that:
- you do not have permission to use;
- contains malicious code, credential material, or intentionally harmful LaTeX;
- attempts to bypass authentication, quotas, payment, CAPTCHA, sandboxing, or security controls;
- violates applicable law or the rights of another person.
We may block, delete, rate-limit, or refuse service for activity that appears abusive, unsafe, unlawful, or harmful to the service or other users.
5. Accounts And Guest Sessions
The service can operate with account-backed access or a guest browser session. Guest sessions are lightweight bearer credentials for the active workflow and are less durable than an account. Keep the same browser tab/session available after payment so the app can connect the purchase to the generated result.
6. Privacy And Sensitive Data
CVs often contain personal data. Do not upload sensitive information that is not needed for your CV conversion. We process uploaded content and generated artifacts to provide the service, maintain security, process payments, and troubleshoot product issues.
7. Availability And Changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, templates, quotas, prices, or supported file types. If we make material changes to these terms, we will update the effective version shown on this page. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
8. Disclaimers And Liability
The service is provided as-is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, lost opportunities, or hiring outcomes connected to use of the service.
